Painting 'Superb Love' was an absolute heart-melter. There’s just something so special about a fairy-wren family all huddled together – those soft round bellies, tiny beaks and the way they perch like little fluff-balls with legs! I adored bringing their story to life with those striking electric blues, soft browns and inky textures dancing through the feathers.
The ink gave me a way to play with their delicate fluff and fine details, while the watercolour let the colours sing. I loved capturing that sense of togetherness - quiet, close and full of love. This one’s a little tribute to tiny birds with big hearts.

A 10mm white margin (beyond the image size) is added to the A4 & A3 sizes, for ease of framing*.

What is a Giclée?
