FAQs

QUICK FAQs!

  1. Are you a licenced Australian Made company?

Yes.

This business and the entire product range is Certified by Australian Made Campaign Ltd. Licensee: 13084.

  1. Are your Fine Art Prints Archivable?

Yes.

All Fine Art prints are archivable up-to 100 years (or more).
Printed with museum-grade archival pigment inks on acid-free, premium-grade 310gsm fine art paper.

  1. What is Giclée?

Giclée is a printing process using high-quality digital files, archival-grade pigments and acid free media resulting in a fade-free image which achieves a seemingly “dot-less” imaging technology (which varies from traditional fine art printing which typically relies on screen pattern dots to reproduce full-range colour halftones). The Giclée process enables reproduction on virtually the same media as the original artwork.

  1. Is everything handmade?

Hmmm, basically... yes.

Only one person works at Shannon Dwyer Artist: Shannon!
And yes, she paints and creates everything from scratch... However, some aspects of production she leaves to the professionals to produce (aka museum-grade art printing and tea towel sewing) and THEN she either hand-signs the artwork, personally boxes the product or adds the necessary accessories to them for that 'done by hand' touch!

There is plenty of personal, 'handmade' qualities to the whole range.

  1. Are all your products Eco-Friendly?

Yes.
Shannon has a ZERO plastic crap rule and does NOT mass-produce.

All products are either made to order or produced in sustainably-thoughtful batches, in Australia, ensuring minimal wastage, unnecessary overseas production/freight, supports the Australian economy and reduces/eliminates overstock/wastage issues.

  1. Are all your stationery products made with recycled paper?

YES!

All Stationery products are printed on 'ecoStar+ 100% Recycled card/paper'.

A high quality, high-white, 100% recycled uncoated paper & board • Manufactured with 100% post consumer waste • FSC® Certified Recycled • Carbon Neutral•

  1. How are the wooden products made?

The artwork is printed directly into the grain of the wood in the production process. That means, it will never 'peel away', as it is permanently ingrained within the wood itself.
Plus, thanks to the durability and strength of the wood itself, the charms are durable, not easily scuffed, chipped or broken.

All wood products are sustainably-harvested, PEFC certified eucalyptus wood and are both printed and manufactured locally in Australia.

  1. Do your magnets have strong 'grip'?

Yes.

Each handmade magnet has a strong, thick 1.6mm magnet backing, because there is nothing more frustrating than magnets constantly falling off the fridge every time you shut it!

  1. Are the Bag Charm connectors metal?

Yes.

ZERO plastic crap is used in the production of ANY of the Shannon Dwyer Artist range.

  1. Do you take on custom art commissions?

Yes
...and no.

Art commissions are a tricky space, depending on what you're after and how complex your brief is. There is a major difference between being inspired to draw/paint something - to taking on a detailed brief.

However, I've taken on plenty of custom art requests and am always open to requests. However, I lean away from painting draw pets, as wildlife is more my love/specialty.

Please send your commission requests through to: info@shannondwyer.art

  1. Do you Wholesale?

Yes.

I've been slow finding my feet with wholesale enquiries but I'm now in the middle of creating a wholesale log-in and ordering system. If you're interested in stocking any of my Australian Made fun - please fill in the wholesale enquiry form and I'll get back to you.
